Muthaiga Country Club →
This is where we’ll be staying while we’re in Kenya. It was the British Club that Karen Blixen based her book “Out of Africa” on. She stayed there during her time in Kenya.
We have been able to get two cottages with the help of family friend, Moses, who is from Kenya and an active member of the club.
While we’re there, we will be going to the Masai Mara National Reserve game-park (http://www.game-reserve.com/kenya_masai-mara.html) for our day safari, we will visit an elephant orphanage where babies are kept when their mothers have died from poachers. We’ll be able to bottle feed the baby elephants! I am so excited. After that, we will be going to a giraffe reserve where we’ll be able to be up close and feed the giraffes.
We’ve been invited to go to a restaurant called Carnivore (http://www.kenyasafaripackages.com/nairobisafari-excursions/Nairobi-excursions/Carnivorerestaurant.htm) which was twicce voted the best in Africa!!
